This Privacy Policy explains how Barnett for Magistrate ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit voteforbarnett.com (the "Site") or otherwise interact with the Barnett for Magistrate campaign online. voteforbarnett.com is the official website of Barnett for Magistrate, the political campaign committee supporting George Barnett. The committee's authority line ("Paid for by") appears in the Site footer.

By using the Site, submitting a form, or opting in to our communications, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit your information.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form on the Site — to volunteer, sign up for updates, request a yard sign, contact the campaign, or make a contribution — we may collect:

• Your email address
• Your telephone number
• Your ZIP code or address
• Any message or comments you choose to include

You choose what to share. Some fields are required to complete a specific request (for example, an email address to receive our newsletter), and we tell you which ones.

Information collected automatically. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Text Messaging (SMS / 10DLC)

If you provide your telephone number and consent, we may contact you by phone call and text message about the campaign — including updates, events, volunteer opportunities, and requests for donations.

We only send text messages to people who have opted in. When we collect your phone number for messaging, the consent language reads: "By providing your telephone number and checking this box, you consent to receive calls and text messages. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency may vary. Messaging may include requests for donation. Reply "STOP" to opt-out & "HELP" for help." Checking that box and providing your number is how you give consent. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of making a contribution or volunteering.

Text Messaging Opt-In Data: We will not share or sell your text messaging opt-in data, consent, or related personal information with any third parties, unless required by law.

Cookies & Analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to help us understand how visitors use it. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect aggregated, mostly anonymized information about Site usage — such as which pages are popular and how visitors navigate. This helps us improve the Site. • Donation processing: Contributions are handled by Anedot, our third-party payment processor. When you contribute, you provide payment and donor information directly to Anedot, which processes it under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive the donor information needed to acknowledge your gift and comply with campaign-finance reporting.
• Email / newsletter: We use an email service provider to manage our mailing list and send campaign updates.
• Embedded social media: The Site may include embedded content or links from platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. Interacting with that content may allow the platform to collect information about you under its own policies.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We share information only in these limited situations:

• Service providers: With the vendors described above who help us run the campaign, and only as needed to provide their services.
• Legal and compliance: When required by law — including campaign-finance disclosure and reporting obligations under Kentucky and federal law — or in response to a lawful request, subpoena, or court order.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of the campaign, our supporters, or the public, or to investigate fraud or abuse.

Campaign-finance law may require us to publicly report certain information about contributors (such as name, address, occupation, employer, and contribution amount). We disclose that information only as the law requires.

As stated above, we never share or sell your text-messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties except as required by law.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. Contribution records are retained for the periods required by Kentucky and federal campaign-finance law. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Payment information is handled by our donation processor, Anedot, using its own security systems — we do not store full payment-card details ourselves. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Your Choices & Rights

• Email: You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in any message, or by contacting us at [email protected].
• Text messages: Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. See the Text Messaging section above.
• Access and correction: You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We honor these requests to the extent required by applicable law and consistent with our recordkeeping obligations under campaign-finance law.

Social Media & Comment Policy

The campaign maintains pages and accounts on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. These pages are intended as limited public forums for discussion of the campaign's own posts, events, and announcements. We welcome constructive conversation and do not discriminate against comments based on viewpoint. However, to keep these spaces useful and safe, comments may be removed and users may be restricted when they violate this policy.

We may remove a comment or other user content if it contains, constitutes, or links to:

• Malicious or harmful software (viruses, malware, or similar)
• Advertisements, promotions, or commercial solicitation
• Confidential information, personally identifiable information, or other private information
• Profanity, nudity, obscenity, or indecency
• Threats of violence or threats to public safety
• Copyrighted material used unlawfully
• Disruptively repetitive content (spam)
• Remarks clearly unrelated to the subject of the post

Additional terms that apply to our social media pages:

• Removed content may be retained by the campaign or the platform as permitted or required by applicable law.
• Users who repeatedly violate this policy may be temporarily or permanently restricted from the page.
